IDI Facilities in Atlanta, Salt Lake City Accommodate J.W. Pepper's Consolidated Distribution Operations

Atlanta, May 28, 2009 – J.W. Pepper, the world’s largest supplier of sheet music, on Monday, May 19 began distribution operations at a 75,680-square-foot build-to-suit facility in the Atlanta-area developed by IDI, a full-service industrial real estate company. The opening at IDI’s WestPoint at Riverside master-planned business park in Lithia Springs, Ga., completed a consolidation of J.W. Pepper’s supply chain, reducing the company’s distribution facilities from 15 across the U.S. to two facilities – one in the Atlanta area and a second in Salt Lake City.

J.W. Pepper, which purchased the Lithia Springs, Ga., BTS facility from IDI on April 29, also leases a 47,081 square feet from IDI at the Landmark site in Salt Lake City, which the company occupied in March. With the streamlined distribution operations, J.W. Pepper will be able to ship products to customers on the same day it receives orders.

The Atlanta-area facility distributes products to J.W. Pepper’s customers on the eastern half of the country, and the Salt Lake City facility serves customers in the west.

“Both Class-A facilities are strategically located to serve the company’s consolidated distribution operations, and the Lithia Springs facility provides the company a state-of-the-art facility that J.W. Pepper can own and expand for long-term operations,” said Lisa Ward, vice president of leasing in IDI’s Atlanta regional office, who represented IDI in the build-to-suit transaction. “We are pleased that J.W. Pepper selected IDI as their developer of choice for both facilities in their supply chain.”
