Ferguson Enterprises Leases 149,522 SF from IDI in W. Chicago
Company Consolidates Warehouse, Administrative Offices and Sales Counter
Chicago, November 12, 2009 – IDI, a full-service industrial real estate company, has closed a 149,522-square-foot lease with Ferguson, a wholesale plumbing supplier, at 880 S. Rohlwing Road. Ferguson will occupy the space beginning January 2010 and utilize it as a sales counter, warehouse and administrative offices. The facility was selected for consolidation of several spaces within the same Central DuPage (western Chicago) submarket.
880 S. Rohlwing, also home to the 162,000-square-foot Brook Electric (a division of Sonopar), is located less than one mile from the I-355 and North Ave. interchange in Addison, Ill. and approximately 20 miles west of the Chicago central business district.
Justin Lerner and David Friedland of Newmark Knight Frank Epic, and John Cash, David Haigh and Irv Malik of NAI Hiffman represented Ferguson in the lease deal. Jeff Lanaghan, vice president of leasing and development in IDI’s Chicago market office, was the listing agent for the property.
“Ferguson is a strong addition to our tenant mix in Chicago,” said Lanaghan. “We’re glad we could help Ferguson with its consolidation efforts in the Midwest and look forward to working with them over the long-term; both in Chicago and around the country.”
880 S. Rohlwing is a 453,100-square-foot facility built in 1999 with energy saving features such as SolarCrete, a highly-insulated wall paneling that greatly reduces heating and cooling costs. 140,000 square feet remains available for lease in the building.
